What the tools are

The IBAN checker, calculator and test IBAN generator perform structural checks and computations defined by public standards (ISO 13616, mod-97-10, national account formats). They are provided free of charge, as-is, without warranty of any kind. A "valid" result means the number is structurally correct - it does not mean an account exists, is open, or belongs to any particular person, and it is not banking, legal or financial advice. Before sending money, rely on your bank's own verification.

Permitted and prohibited use

Generated IBANs are test data for software development and quality assurance. They are marked TEST and must not be used to open accounts, receive or send real payments, deceive any person or institution, or defeat identity or fraud controls. You may not scrape or automate this site to mass-produce IBANs; if you need volume test data, use an open-source library in your own code, as our guides recommend.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for losses arising from the use of these tools, including losses caused by transfers to mistyped or fraudulent accounts. Data sources are named on each page and verified on the date shown; despite care, errors are possible, and the registry data may change between verifications.
